Around here, this is the job
A beach-town shower that is not waterproofed is a repair waiting to happen. We treat wet walls as wet walls, not as ‘just tile on drywall.’
How we do it
- 01
Find why it failed
Cracked grout is a symptom. We look at movement, leaks, and whether the board behind the tile is still a board.
- 02
Waterproof, then pretty
Membrane or equivalent system first. Tile second. That order is not optional in a shower.
- 03
Layout that looks intentional
Slivers at the door and a drain that pools water are how cheap showers look. We dry-lay and cut so the room feels finished.
- 04
Cure time, then you get the room back
We tell you when you can actually use the shower. Not ‘probably fine.’
What this usually includes
- Shower rebuilds and surround replacement
- Bathroom and laundry tile floors
- Niche, curb, and bench details
- Grout and caulk repairs when the assembly is still sound
- Kitchen backsplash as part of a small renovation
Questions we get
Can you just recaulk my shower?
If the tile is sound, yes — and we will say so. If water is behind the wall, recaulk is a delay, not a fix. Photos usually tell us which one you have.
Do I have to pick fancy tile?
No. A clean mid-range tile, set well, beats a showroom tile on a bad pan. We will help you pick something that looks good and is not a nightmare to keep clean.
